School competition 2023

View our KS3 winners of the 2024/25 Step into the NHS competition.

We had so many fantastic entries this year.

More than 1,400 entries were received from nearly 2,500 pupils from all parts of England this year. Students worked alone or in groups to create a job advert by researching an NHS role and using their creativity to create an advert that appeals to their peers.

The competition is closed for this year, but we will be announcing the next competition soon. Express your interest in taking part.
We look forward to seeing your entry in 2026!

National winner

Well done to Shreya from Rugby High School, Rugby, West Midlands on being crowned the national winner for 2024/25!

Shreya created a very impressive video job advertisement for the role of a dietitian. Not only did the advert outline the role very well, but it also had a strong call to action to apply.

You can watch a video of the entry on YouTube.

Shreya showed great creativity using a food basket to better showcase the role of a dietitian, this idea was loved by all of the judges.

The judges said: “Congratulations to Shreya! She was really enthusiastic, well-spoken and showcased many conditions in her basket. She also did a really impressive presentation!"

Shreya wins this year’s top prize of a £50 Amazon voucher, goody bag, and a framed national winner certificate. Shreya’s entry will be displayed in the local community for all to see. Well done Shreya!
